Bears’ Trevathan suspended 2 games for hit on Packers’ Adams

Chicago Bears linebacker Danny Trevathan was suspended two games for an illegal hit on Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams.

Adams appeared to be wrapped up by a series of Bears defenders, but Trevathan flew in and launched a devastating hit to his helmet. The Packers' receiver briefly laid motionless on the field with mouth guard flying ajar.

Trevathan then entered a verbal sparring match with several Packers players, including quarterback Aaron Rodgers. The Bears' linebacker incurred a penalty on the play but wasn't ejected.

More to come.
