Belichick: Gronkowski still in concussion protocol

New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski remained in the concussion protocol Wednesday, head coach Bill Belichick said at his news conference with reporters.

Gronkowski said Tuesday evening he was confident he'd pass the final stages of the concussion protocol Wednesday, adding he wasn't worried about his availability for Super Bowl LII versus the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.

Gronkowski, the Patriots' leading receiver during the regular season, was again limited in practice. He did not wear the red jersey he's worn in previous days that indicated his status as a player in the concussion protocol.

The 28-year-old has been in the protocol since taking a shot to the helmet during the AFC Championship Game.
