Chiefs’ Hill under investigation for alleged battery

Kansas City Chiefs receiver Tyreek Hill is under investigation for an alleged battery, according to Steve Vockrodt and Brooke Pryor of the Kansas City Star.

The team confirmed it's aware of the investigation.

"We’re in the process of gathering information and have been in contact with the league and local authorities," the Chiefs said in a statement. "We’ll have no further comment at this time."

The Overland Park Police Department report lists a juvenile as the victim, according to the KC Star. A source told Vockrodt and Pryor the battery involves Hill and his fiancee's three-year-old son, and the child suffered a broken arm.

Hill's fiancee has reportedly been in contact with the police. As of Friday afternoon, the three-time Pro Bowler hasn't been charged.

Hill was the Chiefs' leading wide receiver in 2018, and he's been in talks to receive a lucrative contract extension this offseason.
