Jaguars release statement announcing intention to stand for anthem

The Jacksonville Jaguars released a statement Saturday, announcing their intention to stand for the national anthem prior to Sunday's game against the New York Jets.

The object of Colin Kaepernick's original protest was to highlight the injustices African-Americans face, with widespread racial inequality and police brutality. The Jaguars, for their part, recognized those issues, and stated they didn't intend to disrespect the U.S. military, the flag, or the anthem, in their decision to stand.
