Report: Myles Garrett to declare for NFL draft

Texas A&M defensive end Myles Garrett declared for the 2017 NFL Draft, he announced in a statement as shared by Bob Ballou of CBS.

"After talking with my family and my coaches, I feel it is in my best interest to declare for the 2017 NFL Draft," Garret said. "I would like to thank mu teammates for always supporting me, encouraging me and holding me accountable. We are a family, and I will be close with these guys forever."

Garrett was hampered by injuries this season, missing three games. In 10 contests this year, Garrett recorded 33 tackles and 8.5 sacks, including a game high 4.5 against UT San Antonio.

"We wish Myles all the best in the upcoming NFL draft and with his professional football career," head coach Kevin Sumlin said according to Colin Deaver of KAGS
