LaDainian Tomlinson will join the Chargers' front office in an advisory role, as the team continues to work out a specific title and job function for the 37-year-old, sources told Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune.
Tomlinson will be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame this summer, after being named to the Pro Bowl five times during his career. The legendary running back won NFL MVP honors in 2006, and lead the league in rushing yards over consecutive seasons.
The Chargers retired his No. 21 in November 2015.
Tomlinson currently works as an analyst for NFL Network and it's unclear whether his new role with the Chargers will interfere with his television duties.
